Picnic
We should refrain from using the word picnic.
Let’s explore the origins of the word. The word originates from a time when racism was much more overt. white folks would all pack a lunch and bring their families to the field. They would then “pick a nigger” to hang. They would hang someone and all hang out, eat and watch a lynching for entertainment. Picnic=pick a NegroInstead of picnic try saying: outdoor eating event
quite interesting. I’m actually going to an outdoor eating event today. dia was telling me the other week about the original version of ‘eeny meeny miney mo’, look it up.
